Hand inscribed aluminum tin estate bracelet commemorating a 1930s state consolidation competition won by Rock Island Railroad. The inscribed reads “State Consolation Champs 1936 (or 1938) Won By Rock Island.” Not sure of the history of this piece, but it was probably made from an aluminum can in the time railroads were looking for ways to compete during the Depression and when public interest in automobiles was increasing. 1.25” W x 9.25” around.
