Vintage Sheared Mink Cape - One Size Owned by the late Jan Gray, wife and lifelong partner to United States Marine Corps four-star general and 29th Commandant of the Marine Corps General Alfred Mason Gray Jr. Own a small piece of history with this one of a kind, likely bespoke, cape to shawl coat. Genuine sheared mink, hand sewn brick by brick, with high quality satin lining and heavy brass buttons. To the naked eye, very good condition. On closer inspection, 5 small holes where the panels of mink have started to separate and one spot where the fur has become matted (pictured). Inspected by Miller’s Furs of Maryland and was assured both are easy fixes for a skilled furrier or fur owner. Would love to get this stunning piece to a new home that will wear it and love it for decades to come. Valued at $1000.
